General information on the chair
Teaching and research at the Chair of Components of Intelligent Energy Networks contribute to future-proof energy grid structures of the transmission and distribution grid with regard to the components and equipment required for this. The global trends of connectivity, digitalization, artificial intelligence and electrification in the context of reducing greenhouse gas emissions are leading to a massive demand for electrical energy, which must be generated and efficiently transmitted and distributed. The "transmission and control of high electrical power" competence and thus the technological link between the specialist areas of high-voltage and high-current technology is crucial for this.
