70th IEEE Holm Conference on Electrical Contacts
This year, two Research Associates from the Chair of Components of Intelligent Energy Networks took part in the renowned 70th IEEE Holm Conference on Electrical Contacts in San Antonio, Texas, from October 19 to 22, 2025.
The conference focused on the following topics, among others
- Tribology and wear behavior of electrical contacts
- Switching and arc quenching, especially for DC applications
- Reliability, safety and service life of current-carrying connections
- Design principles of electrical contact systems and contact materials
The Chair was represented with two contributions:
- Max Huter presented his results on "Clinching - Creating a Model".
- Christian Hildmann presented his paper "Electric-thermal long-term behavior of compression connections with transmission line conductors at realistic outdoor conditions".
We are delighted to have been part of this renowned conference and would like to thank the organizers for the excellent organization of the event.
