+++ A week with the CIGRE President +++

This week, we had the great honor of welcoming the esteemed President of CIGRE to our Institute. Our honorary professor Dr.-Ing. habil. Konstantin Papailiou gave intensive lectures on high-voltage overhead lines as part of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maria Kosse's "Advanced High-Voltage Technology" module. We were also delighted to have him as a speaker for our institute colloquium. He gave a highly interesting and wide-ranging lecture on the significance of CIGRE in the context of the current global challenges of energy technology. It was particularly remarkable to learn how young people can benefit from involvement in the CIGRE Next Generation Network (NGN). We would like to thank Prof. Papailiou for his invaluable insights into the work of CIGRE and look forward to seeing him again soon.
