At the Chair of Automation Technology, under the direction of Prof. Dr. techn. Klaus Janschek, the main areas of research are robotics, mechatronics, system design and industrial automation.

The Chair of Process Control Engineering, headed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Leon Urbas, develops descriptive means, methods and tools for the design of process control strategies in the process industry.
