Model Exchange and System Simulation
Introduction
The Model Exchange & System Simulation (MXSS) group explores concepts for modeling and simulating distributed, large-scale, modular systems. In this context, we investigate how large-scale system simulations can be modeled and simulated reliably and resource-efficiently. For the vendor-independent exchange of simulation models for digital twins, methods for quality assurance of simulation models and interface description are considered.
Research focus:
- How can Digital Twins be exchanged reliably and vendor-independently as assets and tools?
- How can large-scale system models be simulated?
- How should information models and interfaces be defined for a vendor-independent simulation of processes?
Methods and Tools:
- Quality Assurance of Simulation Models
- Test-driven Quality Assurance Workflow
- Information modeling
- Distributed system simulation
- Co-Simulation
- Model Exchange
- Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI Standard)
