Paper Presentation at IFIP Networking 2026
Our PhD student Yizhou Wang presented our work at the IFIP Networking 2026, with the title "HONOR: O-RAN-compliant Handover Optimization in Vehicular Networks via Offline RL".
The paper studies handover optimization for mmWave vehicular networks, where mobility, beamforming, and strict latency and reliability requirements make reliable V2X communication challenging. HONOR addresses this problem through an O-RAN-compliant handover optimization approach based on offline reinforcement learning. The results show that HONOR reduces unnecessary handovers and ping-pong events while maintaining QoS performance.
