Lab facilities
Our lab facilities comprise a wide range of state-of-the-art computing and networking devices.
Cluster of Rapsberry Pis for Internet of Things: We built a heterogeneous cluster of Raspberry Pis (versions 3, 4, and 5) for IoT experiments.
WiFi-6 routers with OpenWRT: We exploit routers to study resilient and real-time communication, which facilitates interactions between humans, the metaverse, and robots.
Commodity servers for Network Function Virtualization: We implement virtualized network functions, deploy them with virtual machines and Docker containers, and manage them with carrier-grade orchestrators like OpenStack and Kubernetes.
State-of-the-art switches with In-Network Computing capability: We exploit the available computing of the switches for application offloading, such as in acoustic processing and network coding.
High-performance switches with Tofino chips for programmable data plane: We leverage the programmability of the switches to develop advanced pipelines to process packets at line rates.
