Internships

(Student: Jawad Asif, June-September 2023, ICT program at University of Padova) The internship is based on a project focusing on Motion Capture (MoCap) Data Analysis based on Inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensors. The goal is to develop a prototype system that recognizes selected movement exercises and evaluates the movement execution in real-time, including (1) acquiring the data with provided hardware; (2) developing and testing a machine learning (ML) model with the raw IMU data; and (3) Examining the quality and efficiency of the models/algorithms with regards to state-of-the-art.

de l'Electronique et de ses Application, May-August 2023) The internship involves working with sensors and actuators, e.g., from a sensor glove. The student uses the collected data to recognize human activities, requiring haptic communication and tactile computing. The work uses recognized activities for several use cases, such as medicine and the Internet of skills.
