Research
The Chair of Information Theory and Machine Learning (ITML) investigates problems in the research fields of novel technologies in communications systems, information security and privacy, and machine learning.
Research Profile
The ever-increasing demand for connectivity constantly presents new challenges for research. The Chair of Information Theory and Machine Learning pursues the approach of investigating these problems using information-theoretic methods and therefore formulating mathematically provable statements about the practicability of new technologies. At the same time, new theoretical findings should provide the basis for innovative tools and solutions. Among others, we focus on the research fields of wireless communications, security and privacy, and machine learning.
We are part of the DFG Cluster of Excellence CeTI - Centre for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop, the BMBF research hub 6G-life − Digitale Transformation und Souveränität künftiger Kommunikationsnetze and other research projects.
