RENEWABLE ENERGY spring camp for educational stakeholders: March 23-27, 2026
We want to ensure that renewable energies are addressed in schools in a practical and everyday way. That's why the Naturschutzstation Osterzgebirge e.V., together with the Czech environmental organization SEVER, is holding a spring camp from 23 to 27 March 2026 especially for teachers, trainee teachers, students and other interested multipliers. There you will get to know "systemic thinking" and the "place-based learning" educational approach developed by SEVER, with which the sustainability motto "think globally - act locally" can be experienced in concrete projects. We will try out the practice of solar installation and deal with technical, economic and social aspects of energy supply as well as concrete educational modules for implementation in school subject or project lessons. The exchange with Czech teachers, students and multipliers enables us to "think outside the box" and gain new impulses.
The seminar language is English, but communication is more important than perfect grammar. We provide vocabulary overviews for the technical terms and support you if you have difficulties understanding them.
The five-day Czech-Saxon seminar takes place in Lauenstein Castle, in the middle of the beautiful Eastern Ore Mountains. We will eat together - some help in the kitchen is welcome. You can either stay overnight free of charge in a simple dormitory or for a fee in nearby vacation accommodation. More information will be provided upon registration (initially non-binding).
Participation fee: 40 €
