Research fields
We aim at addressing significant biological challenges using novel computational methods and algorithms, without which the problem could not be solved. We follow a co-design approach where the biological question inspires the development of novel computational methods. Theory, Algorithms, Software, and the biological Application then co-evolve. We focus on the following methods as required in image-based systems biology:
- Adaptive Multi-Resolution Simulation Methods Using Particles
- Bio-Image Processing using Particle Methods
- Parallel High-Performance Computing for Particle Methods
- Algorithms for Black-box Optimization and Sensitivity Analysis
