Opening for PhD students or Postdocs
We currently have funded positions for research associates, ideal for PhD candidates or postdocs.
We are seeking talented researchers, scientists, engineers or artists to join us in the creation of experimental and creative immersive experiences and applications. The positions offer the opportunity to conduct innovative research in the field of immersive media. A variety of research topics are available, ranging from perceptual and cognitive studies, to the research and development of novel immersive technologies, applications or artistic creations. The positions offer the opportunity to publish and present at international conferences and to contribute to teaching and student supervision in the faculty of compute science.
We welcome applications from candidates from a variety of backgrounds:
- Computer scientists or software engineers with interests and expertise in virtual or augmented reality, real-time simulation, real-time 3D graphics or game engines, immersive audio or procedural and generative systems.
- Perceptual or cognitive scientists working with VR/AR on topics related to multi-sensory perception, practical and perceptual phenomenology, embodiment and self-perception, phenomenal realness, predictive processing.
- Digital 3D artists with strong technical skills and expertise in procedural and generative modelling, character animation, simulation or modelling real-world locations.
- Researchers applying immersive technologies to novel domains.
Salary: E 13 TV-L (see here)
