About doublelucky
doublelucky productions are interested in the invisible infrastructures that shape our social, economic and private lives: from high-frequency trading and social profiling to affective computing. On stage, they seek to create situations that make these digital architectures visible and tangible. Their current focus is on experimenting with augmented reality applications for image and sound in the performance space.
Since 2004, the group led by Chris Kondek and Christiane Kühl have been developing performances and installations that tour nationally and internationally, working continuously with the musician Hannes Strobl and in temporary collaborations with artists from other disciplines. (For credits, see Productions.) The group has received awards from, among others, 3sat/ZDFtheaterkanal and the Goethe-Institut at the Politik im Freien Theater festival.
Christiane Kühl and Chris Kondek have shared the Chair of Interdisciplinary Artistic Practice and Theory at Berlin University of the Arts since 2023.
