MDR Aktuell speaks with PhD student Mikolai Gütschow about GNU Taler, an independent, open-source digital payment system that enables both anonymity for payers and identification of payees. GNU Taler is not a currency but allows for a secure digital implemetnation of existing currencies such as the euro.
