SUSTAINET guarDian
SUSTAINET guarDian is the second subproject of the joint Sustainable Technologies for Advanced Resilient and Energy-Efficient Networks (SUSTAINET) research project, which currently consists of 105 partners from 13 countries. The pillar guided utilities for automation, resilience, and digital innovation in advanced networks (guarDian) focuses in particular on socially relevant aspects of a resilient infrastructure. The project primarily encompasses the development of sustainable, resilient, and energy-efficient telecommunications systems with core aspects such as security, optimization of AI-supported network operations, as well as data spaces and medical use cases.
The chair focuses on privacy and security aspects. This includes providing important preventive security components (based on both physical layer security and post-quantum secure cryptographic protocols) to secure communication in distributed systems. These components form an important basis for the overall security architecture developed in the project. In addition, TUD contributes tools and methods for modeling and analyzing privacy and security requirements.
