Security

The course introduces fundamental concepts of IT security, data security, and data protection. Students learn to identify typical security risks and vulnerabilities, analyze them using attacker models, and derive appropriate protection measures. The course covers key security objectives and their interdependencies, as well as security mechanisms and protocols used to enforce them. A further focus is placed on the fundamental principles and mechanisms of symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic methods, along with essential requirements and concepts of data protection.
