Proseminar: Systems Engineering
The Proseminar Systems Engineering aims to discuss current research topics. Students will be given a list of publications (English) from which they have to choose one as their primary literature to discuss. The content of the publication as well as the underlying topic has to be researched independently throughout the semester. At the end of the semester, the student is required to give a presentation (English) in front of other students or staff members covering the chosen publication and brief background of the presented topic. In a brief discussion session, the student needs to be able to answer questions by the audience and the moderator (staff). Additonally, the presenter has to pose three questions to the audience to test their understanding of the topic.
As an example, you may review the presentation given by Max Härtwig (2018).
Students will pass based on the quality of their presentation, knowledge of the topic and ability to answer questions about the presented publication. Attendance and participation during all presentations is mandatory to pass the seminar.
