The Summer School on Fracture Structures will be held at Riga Technical University (RTU) from July 18 to 29, 2022. It is organized by RTU with the participation of TU Dresden, LUT Finland and Politechnika Wroclawska. Scientists from all participating universities are organizing the program.

Karsten Tittmann (a scientist at the ILK) will support the Summer School with a lecture "Damage and Fatigue in Fiber Reinforced Plastics - Phenomenology and Modelling Approaches".

The Summer School is organized and financed within the framework of the T.I.M.E Association, an association of more than 50 technically oriented universities, of which the TU Dresden has been a member since 2002. Maike Heitkamp (International Affairs Officer at the School of Engineering Sciences) used the opportunity to pick up the cooperation with RTU, especially after the long corona-related break, and to develop new approaches for future cooperation projects together with the T.I.M.E network partners present.
