Research
The Chair contributes to the development and application of fast and high-resolution imaging techniques for the measurement of physical field quantities, such as phase and component distributions, chemical species concentrations and temperature in technical processes and in fundamental experimental research.
Imaging Techniques
Research in the field of imaging techniques means designing and developing imaging techniques with high spatial and temporal resolution for the measurement of phase, component and temperature distributions in multiphase flows. Thereby methods for automated image analysis and data fusion for the process and multiphase flows diagnostics play an elementary role. A practical objective is an improved experimental flow diagnostics and multiphase flow measurement in different application areas.
