Temperature Programmed Ammonia Desorption (TPAD)
The chair has a system for temperature-programmed ammonia desorption, which can be used to investigate the adsorption properties of surfaces and determine the type, number and strength of acidic surfaces. In addition to the evacuable and heatable sample cell (with sample holder for tablet-shaped samples), the system also contains a quadrupole mass spectrometer for determining the desorbed quantity or desorption rate and a Nicolet iS20 FTIR spectrometer for determining the type of acid centers involved.
