1st FTM Writing Week

The opportunity to work intensively on one's own doctoral topic is often neglected in everyday life at the Chair. Doctoral student seminars with a focus on status presentations often only practice the quality of the presentation and the preparation of the slides - but often do not help the doctoral students in terms of content when it comes to research hypothesis, use of methods, state of the art selection and design as well as preparation and discussion of results. This was therefore on the agenda of the 1st FTM Writing Week before Easter.

In the seclusion of the picturesque Marienthal monastery in the border triangle D-CZ-PL, not only scientific work, presentations and discussions took place, but also the interdisciplinary exchange in the context of sporting activities and evening games was not neglected.

With many impressions and results, it is now back to the freshly started summer semester at the TUD Dresden University of Technology. And there will be another similar event in 2027 - this was the unanimous wish of all participants at the end of the event.
