Welding internship WiSe23/24: Project and practical experience
In the winter semester 2023/2024, the semi-annual welding internship took place, in which eight participants took part. Over a period of two weeks, they deepened both their theoretical knowledge and their practical welding skills in the arc laboratory.
A central component of the internship was the welding project, in which the participants worked together to plan and implement an "Infinity Cube". This challenging geometric structure required accurate preparation and the application of advanced welding techniques, which were further developed during the internship. The project enabled the participants to deepen their welding skills and understand the importance of precise work processes.
In addition to this main project, participants had the opportunity to work on individual projects where they contributed their own ideas and creativity. These independent projects contributed to the expansion of practical knowledge and promoted the application of welding technology in different contexts. A pen holder for the holder of the professorship, Prof. Schmale, was also created as a thank you. A small gift for Marko, the head of the practical course, who provided the participants with help and advice, was presented earlier.
The internship was concluded with a final barbecue, where the participants had the opportunity to reflect on their experiences and exchange ideas about their projects. This meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen and network the community of welding enthusiasts.
