IWE-Graduates Meeting 2023

On April 29, 2023, the traditional IWE-graduate meeting took place in Dresden, to which 60 graduates of the course-related qualification as International Welding Engineer were invited.
The event was organized by the DVS student group, the TU Dresden, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Chair of Joining Technology and Assembly and SLV Halle GmbH.
IWE training has a long and successful tradition in Dresden since 1996 and a total of about 1500 students have participated in the 27 years. During the meeting, the new holder of the Chair of Joining Technology and Assembly, Prof. Hans Christian Schmale, presented his strategic visions and research priorities for future joining technology in Dresden. The graduate meeting was rounded off by laboratory tours with practical demonstrations, as well as the opportunity to exchange ideas and meet again in a relaxed atmosphere while eating and drinking in the courtyard of the Zeuner Building.
