The teaching and research core research areas of the Chair of Joining Technology and Assembly are the development of processes and tools in the fields of thermal joining (welding, soldering), bonding, mechanical joining (screwing, pressing, forming joining) and hybrid joining as well as the holistic planning of assembly, handling and joining processes.
