Minisymposium at the GACM 2025
At this year’s GACM, we organized the minisymposium “Complex, Dissipative, and Multiphysics Phenomena in Soft Materials” together with colleagues from TU Dresden, IPF Dresden, UniBw München, and TU Graz.
This minisymposium aimed to bring together researchers with diverse expertise—spanning from theoretical modeling to experimental investigation—in the field of soft material mechanics. Topics of particular interest included:
-
Complex and multiphysics phenomena in soft materials
-
Damage and fracture of soft materials
-
Mechanics of biomaterials and living matter
-
Microstructure evolution, e.g., deformation-induced crystallization
-
Advanced experimental methods and techniques
-
Advanced numerical tools and data-driven methods
With a total of 16 presentations, the minisymposium was very well received and stood out as one of the largest at this year’s GACM.
