IFKM Doctoral Seminar 2017 in Zittau

The traditional doctoral seminar of the Institute of Solid Mechanics was held in Zittau on September 18/19, 2017.

Doctoral students and faculty staff followed an interesting scientific programme which involved presentations on various topics from the three chairs, the working group fatigue, and external postgraduates. The talks provided an overview on the current research activities at our institute. Discussions continued into the coffee brakes and dinner.

The programme was completed by a visit to the "Great Lenten Veil", the exhibition "Faces of Reformation", and a guided city tour.

As usual, the seminar was perfectly organised by Dr. Volker Quarz - many thanks.
