Promotion Benjamin Schmidt

Benjamin Schmidt has successfully defended his dissertation on "Analyse und Modellierung des Remote Laser-Schneidprozesses von Strukturen aus kohlenstofffaserverstärkten Kunststoffen". The thesis deals with the modeling of the laser cutting process in order to predict the quality of the resulting cut surface from process and material parameters. An optimally adjusted remote laser cutting process can replace the milling process currently used in industry, which is associated with high tool wear.

In good tradition, after the defense he wears a doctoral hat, which was lovingly handcrafted by the Chair's team.
