What is Mixing Meets Reality?
Mixing meets reality unites early-career researchers from across Europe on a dynamic platform for open dialogue and knowledge exchange. Participants share insights into both experimental methods—such as PIV and hot-wire anemometry—and theoretical approaches including CFD modelling. Topics will be related to a wide range of single- and multiphase phenomena such as:
- boundary layer phenomena
- complex rheology
- breakup and coalescence
- particle size distribution
- mixing quality
Beyond technical exchange, the seminar fosters authentic networking and concrete cooperations, laying the groundwork for lasting scientific relationships and joint projects across European institutions.
The event is kindly supported by DECHEMA working party “Mixing”.
How can I benefit?
The workshop is designed to foster an open exchange of ideas, tackle challenges encountered during research, and spark fresh inspiration. Participants are encouraged to prepare a brief presentation summarizing the current status of their research (10 minutes for the presentation, followed by 10 minutes of discussion). Feel free to share aspects of your work that might not be going as planned—this is a great opportunity to brainstorm solutions with fellow participants. Who knows? A collaborative discussion might just lead to the breakthrough you’ve been looking for! 😉
