Christopher Stäglich receives the "Gustav Zeuner Prize 2025"

v.l.n.r.: Dipl.-Ing. Uwe Bastian (Vorsitzender des VDI Dresdner Bezirksverein e.V.), Dipl.-Ing. Christopher Stäglich (TU Dresden), Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Schubert (TU Dresden)
Christopher Stäglich was awarded the "Gustav Zeuner Prize 2025" for his excellent diploma thesis at the annual general meeting of the VDI Dresden District Association on June 11, 2025.
In his thesis on "Simulation-based agitator optimization of batch reactors", Christopher was able to use steady-state and dynamic simulation calculations to derive design proposals that enable efficient and effective heat extraction.
The combination of CFD modelling and AI-supported design optimization is a highly topical and practically relevant issue in process development and plant design.
The jury also emphasized the scope of the methods used as well as the creativity and pragmatism in solving the task, which were also decisive for the award of the "Gustav Zeuner Prize 2025".
Congratulations!
