CPE Participates in the "18th European Conference on Mixing"
From August 30 to September 2, 2026, the Chair of Chemical Process Engineering participated in the “18th European Conference on Mixing” in Limerick, Ireland. Held every four years, this event is one of the most important gatherings in the field of mixing technology and agitation process engineering. Christopher Stäglich presented the latest research and development findings to an international audience at the event. The lively discussion that followed demonstrated great interest in this work. He received valuable feedback that will be directly incorporated into ongoing projects.
The program covered a wide range of topics, including CFD simulations in stirred tanks, novel agitator designs, and the scaling of mixing processes. The sessions on hybrid modeling approaches and energy efficiency in mixing equipment were particularly inspiring. Beyond the presentations, the coffee breaks and evening events provided excellent opportunities to engage in conversation with researchers and industry experts from across Europe and around the world. Overall, the conference was a complete success: We’re returning with new insights, valuable contacts, and fresh ideas. Many thanks to the organizers—we look forward to the next edition!
