SmartPaste research project launched
The SmartPaste project was officially launched on 29.10.2024. Together with Fraunhofer IFAM Dresden and HTW Dresden, we are working on various aspects of scaling up the performance of POWERPASTE technology. When POWERPASTE comes into contact with water, hydrogen is released that can be used for decentralized power generation. To scale up and prototype the technology, an interdisciplinary multi-scale approach is being pursued to develop an efficient reactor concept with optimum water and heat management. The Chair of Chemical Process Engineering is involved with two PhD students who are working on kinetic investigations of the hydrolysis reaction and the fluid dynamics in the reactor concept. The project is co-financed by the European Union and co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament.
