Welcome to the CVT team
In October and November, we welcomed three new team members.
Carolin will be conducting research in the CircEcon project at the Research Center for Greenhouse Gas Neutral Circular Economy over the next three years. Her main focus will be on scaling up a modular plant concept for supercritical solvolysis. She is also working on the thermal coupling of high-temperature batch processes. The joint project between the Universities of Technology in Chemnitz, Dresden and Freiberg and the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, funded by the SMWK and SMR, promises to develop innovative approaches to efficient recycling management through AI and digitalization, among other things.
Furqan and Christopher are working on the SmartPaste project, which is co-funded by the European Union and co-financed on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon state parliament. TU Dresden, together with Fraunhofer IFAM Dresden and HTW Dresden, is researching how hydrogen, which is released when POWERPASTE comes into contact with water, can be used efficiently for decentralized power generation. In this context, Furqan and Christopher are primarily concerned with kinetic investigations of hydrolysis reactions and the flow dynamics in the reactor concept.
We are delighted to have gained these three for our team and wish them a good start!
