A Look Back at the Long Night of Science 2026

Despite the exceptionally high temperatures during this year’s heat wave in Germany, hundreds of curious visitors came to the “Dresden Science Night 2026” to experience research up close.

Throughout the evening of June 26, our laboratories welcomed guests of all ages, who were able to explore our research through interactive demonstrations, experimental setups, and conversations with our researchers. Visitors had the opportunity to discover how we develop innovative processes for sustainable process engineering, including technologies for resource recovery, advanced separation and oxidation processes, and the recycling of difficult-to-recycle materials. The event sparked many insightful discussions and generated a great deal of curiosity.

The “Dresden Science Night” has once again demonstrated how important it is to make research accessible beyond the university.
