Technical Thermodynamics/Heat Transfer - Heat Transfer Submodule
Technical Thermodynamics/Heat Transfer - Heat Transfer Submodule |
Lecturer: | |
Extent: |
2 SWS Lecture, 2 SWS Exercise, Self-study Duration: 1 Semester, Summer semester |
Module number: | MW-MB-12 and MW-VNT-12 |
Credit points: | 9 (entire module) |
Content
Contents of the submodule are the basic connections for the application of the conservation laws of mass, energy and momentum in connection with the transport laws for thermal energy (conduction, convection, radiation) for ideal and real processes as well as the phenomenological description of the mechanisms of heat transfer. Additional emphasis is placed on steady-state and transient problems of heat conduction, heat transfer on fins, the heat transfer of multilayered bodies (plate, cylinder, sphere), the calculation of heat exchangers, and the optimization of heat transfer processes.

Exam
Scope of examination for participants (MB/VT PO 2003 + 2010 (DS, FS, AS), waste management: The examination (written) consists of 2 parts: a) a theory part (30 minutes), which deals with comprehension questions without the use of documents and b) calculation part (120 minutes), in which calculations are to be carried out using auxiliary equipment (freely selectable, no WLAN-capable devices).
Examination scope for participants (MB/VNT PO 2012 (DS, FS, AS), CIW, RES): The examination (written) consists of 2 parts: a) a theory part (30 minutes), which deals with comprehension questions without the use of documents and b) calculation part (90 minutes), in which calculations are to be carried out with aids (freely selectable, no WLAN-capable devices).
Examination scope for participants (MB/VNT PO 2019 (DS, FS, AS):
The module examination consists of two written examinations (K1(TT) and K2(WÜ)) of 120 minutes each. Both exam performances are relevant for passing the exam. Bonus performance for the exam paper K1 is a performance status check of 10 hours.
