Material Week 2015

More than 1700 participants from science and industry met from the 14-17 September 2015 at the Material Week in Dresden. This new branch meeting will in the future take place every two years in Dresden where it will combine a congress with a trade fair and offer an excellent networking possibility for researchers, developers, producers and users. The Institute of Materials Science was present with a large number of scientific presentations and with a display as part of a collective stand with the Material Research Network Dresden (MFB). A positive resonance about the Material Week was also found in the local press, where they quoted Prof Christoph Leyens, the director of the Institute of Materials Science, as saying "Dresden counts as one of the strongest places for material research in the whole of Germany". to article
