Course content	The lecture provides information about mechanical material behaviour under a quasi-static and cyclical load as well at high temperatures and in aggressive mediums. In the lectures metallic, polymer and composite materials will be introduced and a discussion held about the appropriate material choice for the load. Material development for machine, equipment and vehicle construction will form the focus of this discussion.
