Kick-off of URBANSens

Jointly with the Chair of Speech Technology and Cognitive Systems, the Chair of Radio Frequency and Photonics Engineering, Infineon Germany and Ruhr-Universität Bochum, the Chair is working on the BMWi-funded project URBANSens. The aim of the project is to optimise flight routes in urban areas for energy efficiency in accordance with weather conditions. With the system solution for coordinated flight path planning and control of an UAV swarm and the development of novel, radar-based and acoustic wind sensors, URBANSens makes a decisive contribution to the use of future aircraft in urban areas.
