KickOff "EWE"

On February 2nd, the kick-off for the EWE project (testing and further development of a prototype for scale removal by means of the electro-pulse method for the treatment of geothermal production pipes) took place at TU Dresden. The foundation stone for the 36-month project was laid with constructive discussions. Following successful laboratory testing, the prototype will be used in a real production pipe in the fourth year in order to remove the deposits using the electro-pulse process and demonstrate the functionality and suitability of the process.

The project is funded by the BMWE as part of the German government's 8th Energy Research Program.
