Electrical installations are the backbone of modern buildings, but marking, milling and documenting wall slots and cut-outs is particularly time-consuming and physically demanding. In the research project "Assistance and automation systems for electrical installations", we are investigating new solutions that simplify, speed up and make electrical installations more precise - from as-built surveys to new construction documentation:

• Wall-climbing robot for automated as-built documentation - finds and documents cables in existing buildings.
• Laser projection system for automatic marking - projects installation plans and pipe runs onto walls and ceilings.
• Mobile construction robot with interchangeable tools - creates slots and recesses automatically.
• AI app for new construction documentation - recognizes wall grooves, cables and sockets in photos and automatically creates installation plans.
