Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2026!
Dear colleagues, dear students, dear partners and friends,
a year of joy in research and teaching
is almost past – its conclusion reaching.
And one asks: What would the year have been
without the partners we have seen?
From industry and science sectors,
who help with deeds and act as directors,
who start great projects by our side,
support us, and act as our guide,
to get the exchange well underway…
Working with you brightened every day!
What would it have been without the fun
of simulation and experiments done?
Of the community, where we all connect.
Of students, whom we much respect,
who ask us things we missed before –
questions we hadn't holding in store.
Together, we find the best ideas to pursue,
and that is how we create things new.
After a great year, minds full of thought,
we let 2025 fade out as it ought.
But not without saying: In the coming year,
more good ideas from Dresden will appear (that’s clear!).
Whether "efficiency trees" or something really new,
it will be from the hydraulics world, that much is true.
We invite you to join us when the New Year starts,
but for now: Let Christmas fill your hearts!
Best wishes,
Jürgen Weber and his team
