Der Ferrofluidverein Deutschland e. V. schreibt Promotionspreise aus. Jeder vergebene Preis ist mit 1000 Euro dotiert. Eingereicht werden können Dissertationen, die im Zeitraum vom 1. Juni 2024 bis zum 31. Mai 2025 an einer Fakultät in Deutschland, Österreich oder der Schweiz erfolgreich verteidigt wurden. Der Stichtag für die Einreichung der Arbeit ist der 31. Mai 2025.

The German Ferrofluid Workshop will take place as usual in cloister in Benediktbeuern. The workshop will start on September 30th and will last until October 2nd, about noon. The workshop itself is devoted - as in the past years - to the most recent development in ferrofluid research. This covers all classical areas of ferrofluid research as physico-chemistry, microstructure, numerical simulations, ferrohydrodynamics, heat and mass transfer, engineering and biomedical applications etc.

Adapting methods that have been successful in other subjects to your own topics is both a challenge and an opportunity.

The core of the research interests of the Chair of Magnetofluid Dynamics, Measurement and Automation Technology deals with questions of fluid mechanics of complex fluids, or fluids under the influence of special boundary conditions such as controllable external forces. Our central concern is to gain fundamental knowledge as a basis for the development of new fields of application.
