Excursion to Kupplungswerk Dresden AG
On May 7, 2025, a group of students visited Kupplungswerk Dresden AG, a company that develops and manufactures innovative couplings for railroad and industrial technology in the heart of Dresden. The company's products and their areas of application were presented there. During a guided tour of the production and test field, the students were able to experience the practical side of coupling development and production. Furthermore, the students were introduced to current topics of research and development at the coupling plant and opportunities to work on them as part of student projects, internships and working student positions. We would like to thank the employees of Kupplungswerk Dresden, especially Felix Pfüller, for organizing and carrying out the excursion.
Another excursion to the ball and roller bearing plant in Leipzig is planned for the summer semester. Information on this as well as on internships and possible topics for final theses in industry and at the Chair can be found in OPAL.
