VDI awards Max Eyth Young Talent Award 2025 at VDI Young Talent Conference
Graduates and young employees of the Chair of Agricultural Systems and Technology also took part in the annual event to exchange ideas and expand their network.
This year's host, AGCO Hohenmölsen GmbH, provided intensive impressions and perspectives through factory tours and practical presentations.
The highlight of the day was the presentation of the Max Eyth Young Talent Award, which honours outstanding theses in agricultural engineering.
The committee of the VDI-MEG working group for the promotion of young talents selected two prize winners, with one graduate of the Chair of Agricultural Systems and Technology also being honoured:
Dipl.-Ing. Julian Hagert received the Max Eyth Young Talent Award 2025 for his diploma thesis on the topic of ‘Operation and investigation of adaptive mesh networks to increase the connectivity of agricultural machinery‘. During his thesis, he conducted research as part of the ‘Experimentierfeld LANDNETZ’ project, which was completed in June 2024 after 5 years of research. Mr Hagert is now working as a research associate at our chair.
Furthermore, Mr Nils Hoppe from Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences was honoured for his work on the ‘Design of a central spreading angle adjustment for roundabout tedders’.
The Max Eyth Young Talent Award is presented by the VDI Society “Technologies of Life Sciences” including the Max Eyth Society for Agricultural Technology.
Participation in the VDI-MEG Young Talent Conference is planned again next year and interested students will be given the opportunity to participate.
