Excursion to analytica 2026 in Munich

On March 25, 2026, staff and students of the Bioprocess Engineering department set off for Munich to attend analytica 2026 – one of the world’s leading trade fairs for laboratory technology, analytics, and biotechnology. The excursion provided the group with an excellent opportunity to gain a comprehensive insight into the latest developments and trends in the industry.

A highlight of the visit was the demonstration of an automated workflow for the chemical and biological sampling of water samples, developed as part of the SmartAQALab research project – a project in which our chair is heavily involved. The visit impressively highlighted the practical connection between research, development, and industrial application.
