Physical Chemistry and Biophysics

The lecture will give physical and physicochemical explanations of biological phenomena. The main focuses will be set on boundary phenomena, chemical kinetics and phenomena of biomembranes. Furthermore, the lecture contains topics like chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, transport processes and radiation biophysics.

Workload and audience

• 1 weekly lecture hour  in the winter semester (lecture and exersice)
• obligatory for bioprocess engineers
