Aim
The aim of the project is to develop a cultivation set for micro-vegetables and compostable packaging from an agricultural residue and to develop a production technology close to the producer. Through close cooperation between TU Dresden and the company Vorwerk Podemus, environmentally friendly packaging solutions, health-promoting food and resource-saving, environmentally friendly processes are to be developed that make it possible to significantly reduce the consumption of water, energy and fossil raw materials and avoid waste streams. It also supports the transformation of agriculture towards ecological cultivation methods. The upcycling of residual materials containing fibers in regional material cycles is intended to enable the substitution of disposable plastic packaging.
