Visiting researcher at the chair of fluid mechanics

Esma Pala Öngül is a research assistant and PhD student at Gebze Technical University in Türkiye. She will be a guest at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics between September 1st and November 28th.

Mrs. Pala Öngül completed her master's thesis on Design, Manufacturing and Control of a Fixed Wing Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) Aerial Vehicle. As a research assistant at Gebze Technical University, she is working in Aviation Systems Laboratory. Simultaneously, she pursues her PhD thesis with focus on the examination of various subsonic and supersonic flows of compressible fluids with pressure gradient and heat conduction using molecular dynamics together with implementations on GPUs.
