Visit of Prof Constantinescu at ISM

Prof. George S. Constantinescu of the University of Iowa will be a guest at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics on 9-10.7.2019. 
Prof. Constantinescu has done substantial work on numerical methods for turbulent flows, particularly on Large Eddy Simulation and hybrid methods and is a well know researcher in the area of environmental flows. Together with W. Rodi and Th. Stoesser he has written a book on Large Eddy Simulation in Hydraulics. 
On 9.7. at 16:40h Prof. Constantinescu will deliver a talk on turbulent flow structures in abstract vegetation patches.
