Fluid dynamics phenomena appear in nearly all areas of nature and technology and are often of fundamental importance. Examples range from vehicle aerodynamics over process engineering up to climate research.
The special competence of the Chair of Fluid Mechanics lies in the modeling and numerical simulation of complex turbulent flows as well as of multiphase flows and flows with chemical reaction.
