Beschreibung:
High pressure turbine components have to stand high aerodynamic and thermal loads, as the turbine inlet temperature exceeds the melting temperature of the blades material. Therefore the blades are cooled with a combination of film cooling and internal cooling methods.
In this project, investigations on the influence of the cooling hole position on the complex flow field of a ribbed internal cooling channel and the impact on the heat transfer coefficient will be made. Therefore, a ribbed cooling channel is connected via several cooling holes with a plenum, which represents the hot gas channel. Investigations varying the rib-to-hole position, the rib geometry as well as the cooling channel Reynolds number and the suction ratio over the film holes will be done. For measuring the heat transfer coefficients, a transient liquid-crystal technique will be applied. The flow field is captured with a 2D-PIV system.
